SOLIDWORKS is the standard CAD software used in industry around the world because of its versatility and ease-of-use. This SOLIDWORKS course is developed for both the beginner and intermediate CAD-User interested in taking their projects to the next level. There are no prerequisites necessary for this course to be successful. This is task-based training with in-class case studies you will build from scratch teaching all the fundamental commands, options, and menus. Topics covered in this course are, SOLIDWORKS User-Interface, Introduction to Sketching, Basic Part Modeling, Patterning, Features, as well as different CAD-related resources available to assist in making the design process as effective as possible. While all resources are provided by the instructor students are welcome to bring in their own ideas or simple projects because making an original 3D model from scratch is very fun and one of the most effective ways to learn.
